- PMs are expected to write product strategies.
And, yet, 99% don’t even understand Porter’s 5 Forces of strategy.
The concept is considered “revolutionary” in the field of strategy.
I spent $200K on a Wharton MBA and read Porter’s 397 page book so you don’t have to: https://t.co/JLV14jWm5O

- 10 years ago, you had to learn PM from books and mentors.
Now, podcasts drop knowledge on the regular.
You’re falling behind if you don’t listen.

- Let’s be real: 95% of the PM day doesn’t require technical knowledge.
So it's crazy that it's the most common reason PMs get rejected.
PMs are generally spending their time on:
• Handling the Planning Cycle
• Writing PRDs
• Feature QA
These are user- and business-focused tasks, not technically focused.
But the top companies like Google, Stripe, and Amazon regularly test them.
They ask things like:
• What's the architecture of your last product?
• Create the system design for Google Maps.
• How do you traverse a linked list?
As a result, you can’t ignore technical skills if you are a PM ever looking to job search.<img src='https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GBHCIQYXUAAgqHZ.jpg'/> ([View Tweet](https://twitter.com/aakashg0/status/1734380985251135930))
