## **Understanding the Agile Manifesto and Its Principles**
The Agile Manifesto that kicked off the whole movement is relatively short. The entire text is [here](https://agilemanifesto.org/). It says:
_We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it._
_Through this work we have come to value:_
- _**Individuals and interactions**_ _over processes and tools_
- _**Working software**_ _over comprehensive documentation_
- _**Customer collaboration**_ _over contract negotiation_
- _**Responding to change**_ _over following a plan_
_That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more._

In 2016, a mere 15 years after the Agile Manifesto came out, Deloitte Consulting released this diagram called The Agile Landscape.
